JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position reports directly to the CEO. The VP, Global Sales is responsible for the performance, strategy, and alignment of revenue operations in the company. In this role the VP, Global Sales will be responsible for defining and maintaining the revenue strategy, architecting and integrating the revenue system, and designing and launching revenue programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of Business Development, Sales, and Customer Success departments, and ensuring that the interaction between those departments is aligned with the larger company-wide strategy lead by the Chief Executive Officer

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the CEO to craft Quanergy’s sales vision.
  • Define and execute a revenue strategy utilizing data analytics and programs that ensures predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales results while maximizing revenue potential from existing and prospective customers.
  • Communicate the revenue strategy and company vision across all relevant functions; monitor the strategy as the team executes, and focus the team on executing the correct goals.
  • Regularly measure and analyze productivity and effectiveness, and determine budget trade-offs with a goal of continually improving and developing sustainable results.
  • Lead business development, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Hire, train and retain top business development, sales, and customer success talent.
  • Set and manage sales quotas across the global sales/BD team
  • Build a high-performance results-driven sales-focused culture with customer, execution, and growth focus.
  • Partner with IT and Marketing colleagues to define needs and maintain business ownership of the “revenue technology stack” including sales ops automation, salesforce automation/CRM, digital channels (e.g. web and social), business intelligence, and data management.
  • Manage the successful execution of channel partners programs Orchestrate and manage key accounts.
  • Personally handle “must win” deals – must be a ‘selling VP, Global Sales’.

Required, Critical Experience and Education:

  • Required: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or STEM related degree.
  • Highly Desired — Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Required: 15+ years BD/sales experience with both public and startup companies, successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets, of which 10 years was as a sales manager, and 5 years as sales executive and/or VP.
  • Desired but not Required – multi-year sales/BD experience within the Semiconductor and Automotive industries.
  • Highly desired – multi-year sales/BD experience within one of the following: Surveillance/Security, Industrial Robotics, IoT, Smart City/Smart Spaces industries.
