Quanergy is Inc. is a privately-held Silicon-Valley-based technology company leading the development of 3D-LiDAR sensors and smart sensing solutions for real-time 3D perception, including object detection, tracking, identification, classification and mapping. We are disrupting the LiDAR space, and accelerating the growth of the IoT ecosystem with more affordable, better performing, and smaller LiDAR sensors. 


The Sr. Dir/Dir, Industrial Automation Market Development and Alliances at Quanergy will be responsible for managing and promoting the sales of our 3D high-performance AI-powered LiDAR products to strategic OEMs, Systems Integrators, VARs, and other commercial and technology partners. This position will target key partners in port automation, measurement, warehouse automation, AGV, UGV, mobile robotics and other industrial automation segments and will seek to integrate Quanergy’s products with the partners’ applications, in order to create a force multiplier, by enabling the sale of Quanergy’s products through the partners’ direct and indirect channel.

We are looking for an expert in consultative sales who uses her/his deep knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills to delight our partners while working efficiently with internal teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates passion and enthusiasm and her/his self-confidence translates well to partners and colleagues. She/he must be willing to travel and spend time as needed with customers and partners. A competitive compensation package including base, bonus, and restricted stock units (RSU) will be awarded to the successful candidate. Responsible for the industrial automation market development and alliance function globally, the role oversees the identification and pursuit of strategic channel opportunities, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements.


  • Meet and exceed the assigned revenue and partner agreement goals, including accurate and timely forecasting.
  • Manage existing partners seeking to expand sales volume, introduce new products, enhance margin and build a long-term strategic partnership.
  • Identify and approach new partners and set sales revenue targets. Develop & articulate sales and channel strategies, complete bid review plans for all major opportunities and understand the buying cycle for the opportunities being pursued.
  • Develop joint marketing and enablement plans to promote Quanergy’s solution through the partners’ network
  • Develop business case and ROI for key opportunities.
  • Serve as main point of contact for all partnerships related interactions.
  • Monitor business activities and competitors’ actions within assigned accounts seeking to gain market share by expanding foothold across multiple sites.
  • Provide pre-and post-sale product consulting to key partners on all Quanergy products.
  • Work closely with other sales management to manage deals generated by the signed alliances/channels.
  • Capture Sales progress, create sales funnel, and provide timely feedback to management concerning delivery schedules, product acceptance, need for new products, emerging opportunities and challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with Solutions Engineering and Product Management to design and execute on joint partner solutions and integrations.
  • Attend and present at webinars, trade shows and conferences to support partners and stay abreast of industry developments.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.


  • 10+ years of experience in consultative selling/strategic marketing of complex high-tech products such as such IoT, sensors, networking, security, communications, AI, video, etc. .
  • Direct experience with Industrial Automation markets. 


  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Marketing or equivalent major.
  • MBA preferred.


  • Demonstrated ability to design, communicate, and execute a major alliance strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate strategic partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – must be able to clearly and concisely communicate with customers and internally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – must work effectively on a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to relate to customer issues and capable of applying solutions to meet the needs of customer specific requirements.
  • Good organizational and time management skills – must be able to manage several projects efficiently.
  • Focused on consultative selling and high-value models of selling.
  • Ability and ambition to work under pressure in a dynamically growing company, meet schedules, and maintain a high level of output.
  • Keen eye for details and resolve to drive quality deliverables.
  • Technical aptitude required.
