Responsibilities include designing for custom test stations using automated electro-mechanical equipment and for PCBA functional validation test fixtures. You will supervise and participate in the construction and see through to successful installation, prove out and phase into production. Work hands on hardware and closely with colleagues, training technicians, and interface with contractors, partners, and suppliers. This includes the design, procurement, set up and maintenance of manufacturing lines, continuously improving as they progress. Ability to debug product from system level to component level and determine root cause of failure is a requirement as well as intimate familiarity with PCB design and manufacture. Our Sr Manufacturing Test Engineer must plan carefully, execute efficiently and deliver predictably. Global travel to suppliers and manufacturing partners as needed is part of the job.


  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering disciplines.
  • Working experience in New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Troubleshooting hardware down to component level.
  • Competence in manufacturing methodologies including FMEA, SPC, DOE, Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Familiar with Stage Gate methods for NPI.
  • Experience in designing and developing fixtures and test systems.
  • Proficiency in the following:
    • Developing assembly and test processes.
    • Documentation: Block Diagrams, Process Travelers, Procedures, Specifications and Requirements.
    • Lasers and optoelectronics.
    • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or other drawing software.
    • Automation and robotics.
    • Production floor safety protocol and procedures.
    • Python and MATLAB.
    • Schematic Capture software such as OrCad, Allegro.
  • Abilities performing design of experiments (DOE) planning and using of statistical analysis software.
  • Proven track record in achieving results in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
  • Use of PLM software like Agile, Arena.
  • Working with and training technicians in the art of the product.
  • Process and quality improvement to solve issues once and for all.
  • Reporting metrics for production efficiency and quality.


  • Certified ISO-9001 Auditor and working knowledge with IATF standards is preferred.
  • Ability to lead independent activities such as Root Cause Analysis and process improvements.
  • Read and interpret technical mechanical drawing with GD&T methodologies.
  • Hands on experience using measurement tools.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-610 and JEDEC packaging.
  • Ability to train manufacturing personnel and technicians on quality methods and requirements.
  • Experience working or managing suppliers and supporting customer requirements.
  • Experience conducting industrial and commercial product reliability and market compliances.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is a plus and other data analytics skills.
