JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quanergy is building intelligent software solutions that use our 3D LiDAR data to perceive the world around us. We are looking for a motivated software intern to work with our perception engineers on the core algorithms for these solutions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will work closely with our perception engineers to support algorithm development and performance improvement. Possible tasks include:

Prototyping and testing algorithms
Analyzing performance and investigating improvements
Neural Network data preprocessing

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Proficient with modern C++ and/or Python
Experience with algorithm development for 3D data processing (preferably LiDAR) or robotics
Experience working in a Linux environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with PCL, OpenCV, or other computer-vision libraries
Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent deep learning framework
Familiarity with ROS
Practical experience with version control (preferably Git)
Practical experience with creating thorough unit tests
Comfortable with software quality practices such as code reviews and continuous integration

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Currently working towards a Master’s degree, PhD, or advanced degree in Computer Science or another relevant field

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills
Quick learner
Excited to work in a fast-paced product-focused organization
