We are looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer who can leverage our existing manual test processes and develop world class test solutions that can scale for volume production.


  • In the role as a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer, you would work closely with Product Design, HW/FW/SW engineering teams during all phases of the product development process, to develop and validate the test process.
  • Accountable to transfer qualified test processes and equipment to contract manufacturer (CM) and ensure rapid qualification on site at CM
  • You will lead efforts to design testing methodologies and assessment capabilities to continuously improve the product performance
  • Design experiments to solve complex problems with interactions of material, test process, and operator
  • May be asked to create requirements document for outside party to support the development of an automated tester.
  • May be required to manage third party during the development process with clear development milestones and validation
  • Creates work, setup and qualification instructions as required
  • Ensure flawless integration of test process into data acquisition, data collection, and manufacturing dashboards
  • Report out of key accomplishments, activities and challenges as required
  • Follows common structure for developing and maintaining test scripts
  • Ensure the appropriate level of automation for all testers- establish common strategy for Quanergy
  • Create test algorithms for automation for any process that has operator dependency
  • Partner with manufacturing to optimize mechanical equipment automation where appropriate.


  • Highly proficient in scripting with Python, MATLAB and LabVIEW
  • Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Experience testing devices under test (DUT’s)
  • Manage software and hardware integration of electromechanical devices
  • Excels in communication at all levels, clear articulate speaker
  • Proven experience taking products from pilot to volume manufacturing
  • Curious, flexible and thrives in ambiguous environments-questions current state
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and priorities
  • Proven experience in qualifying test processes (gage R & R, correlation)
  • Basic understanding of SPC tools and capability analysis. Can perform basic analysis with tools such as Minitab, WinSPC, JMP.


  • CM experience in Asia.
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience working with multiple organizations across different cultures and regions.
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing, LiDAR, Sensors, Electro-Mechanical products.
  • Thorough understanding of developing test processes, minimizing operator dependency.


  • BS in computer science and/or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years + developing test solutions for high technology products
  • Experience developing test solutions that will be transferred to a contract manufacturer
