Designed for security-sensitive environments such as data centers, museums, transportation infrastructure, and restricted operational facilities, Q-SHIELD creates an invisible LiDAR detection plane, often described as a virtual laser wall, that immediately alerts security teams when a person or object crosses a protected boundary.

Powered by Quanergy’s serverless edge-based LiDAR detection technology running directly on the sensor, Q-SHIELD enables real-time environmental perception that supports emerging Physical AI security systems, processing detection without requiring external servers while minimizing false alarms caused by lighting changes, shadows, or environmental conditions that often affect camera-based or traditional beam detection systems.

Q-SHIELD enables a wide range of security and safety use cases, such as detecting objects thrown over perimeter fences, protecting valuable museum exhibits, and monitoring restricted equipment racks inside data centers where precise boundary detection is required.

The platform supports dynamic multi-zone detection with up to 128 configurable detection zones, allowing security teams to precisely pinpoint intrusion events while protecting large coverage areas with a single sensor deployment.
