Quanergy Solutions, Inc.

This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes the types of information Quanergy Solutions, Inc. (“Quanergy”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) may collect from you or that you may provide to us in connection with your access and use of the Quanergy website currently located at www.quanergy.com (including any and all of its pages, directories and subdirectories) (collectively, the “Website”), and the business contact information we process for marketing and sales communications, and how we use, share and protect that information.

This Policy does not cover information processed by Quanergy products deployed at a customer’s site. In those deployments the operator of the system is the data controller and that processing is governed by our agreement with them.

Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, including business-to-business marketing, you can object at any time using the contact details at the end of this Policy.

You should read this Policy carefully.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide To Us

We collect any information that you submit to us voluntarily through the Website or provide to us in any other way. For example, certain portions of the Website may allow you to provide us with contact information, such as your name, company name, email address, and/or phone number, should you wish to receive information about our products, services, partnering, or career opportunities.

Website Usage Information

We collect certain information from everyone who visits and/or accesses the Website. This includes log data that automatically records information about your visit, such as your device ID, browser type, operating system, browser plug-ins, language settings, cookie preferences, the different actions you performed, the IP address you used to access the Website, and geolocation data.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you visit the Website, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology. For example, we may employ session cookies to help us recognize you when you move from page to page within our Website. We may also employ persistent cookies so that we can recognize you when you return to the Website. If you do not wish to accept cookies from our Website, most browsers allow you to adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or to prompt you before accepting our cookies. Please note that if you turn off cookies, some features of the Website may not work properly.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to help us better understand how visitors use our Website. Google Analytics collects information including your IP address, browser type, referring domains, and page views. An IP address can identify you, so we treat it as personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We may use other analytic services as well or in lieu of Google Analytics.

AI Chat Assistant

Our Website offers a chat assistant that is powered by artificial intelligence. You are interacting with an automated system, not a human.

What you type into the chat, together with your IP address and, if you are signed in, your account identifier, is stored on our Website and is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate a reply. We use it to answer questions about our products, to understand what visitors ask about, and to improve our content.

Do not enter confidential information, personal details about other people, or anything you would not want stored into the chat.

We keep chat transcripts for 90 days and delete them automatically after that. You can ask us to delete your transcript using the contact details at the end of this Policy.

Our Use of Collected Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information in the following ways:

  • to present our Website and its contents to you in the most effective manner for you and your computer or mobile device.
  • to provide you with information relating to our products, services, partnering or career opportunities that you request from us or that we believe may be of interest to you.
  • when you send us a copy of your resume or complete a job application on our Website, we may use that information to match you with relevant career opportunities that may arise with us, to assess your application, conduct screenings and to communicate with you about the process.
  • to better understand your needs and how we can improve our Website and our products, services, and other offerings.
  • in any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
  • for any other purpose with your consent.

We use business contact information to identify organizations and roles that may have a use for our products, and to prioritize and personalize our outreach. This can involve enriching contact records with information from third-party business data providers and ranking records by likely relevance.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.

Sharing of Collected Information

Affiliates, Partners and Service Providers

We may share or disclose information with our current and future affiliates and business partners, so that we can, for example, provide you with information about other products and services that might interest you. We also may share your information with service providers, vendors or agents working on our behalf. For example, companies we’ve hired to provide analytics, training or assist in protecting and securing our systems and services may need access to your information in order to provide those functions. These providers work on our behalf and agree not to use or disclose information we provide for purposes other than providing their services. These service providers include artificial intelligence providers that process chat messages to generate replies; business data and contact enrichment providers; and email delivery and sales engagement platforms.

Aggregate Information

We may share aggregated and anonymous information based on information collected from visitors to our Website with service providers and partners in order to provide or improve the Website and our systems. This information does not identify you and we require our partners to keep all such information in its anonymous form.

Legal Disclosure and Business Transfers

We may disclose any information we collect without notice or consent from you, if we believe in good faith that the disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or other crimes, or respond to lawful government requests. In such instances, we will limit disclosure to that information which is necessary to accomplish the above purposes. We also reserve the right to disclose or transfer the information we collect to another company in connection with a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event (a “Corporate Transaction”). We will endeavor to provide you with notice (via a posting to our website or such other method that we deem appropriate) of any such Corporate Transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.

Communications Preferences

We or our business partners may contact you by mail, telephone, email, text messages or other electronic messaging service with information that may be of interest to you about our products and services and partnering opportunities. You can tell us to stop at any time, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at info@quanergy.com. If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing communications including emails about the Website and our business dealings with you.
