Q-TRACK LR
Long-range 3D LiDAR for perimeter intrusion detection. One Q-TRACK LR sees a full 360° across a 140 m diameter, day or night, and alerts only on the people and vehicles that matter.
Specifications: Q-TRACK datasheet, QPN 96-00135 Rev H. Range measured at 3 m mounting height and 10% object reflectivity.
A virtual perimeter that sees in 3D
Q-TRACK LR is built for expansive outdoor sites: critical infrastructure, data centers, commercial campuses and transportation hubs. It tracks people and vehicles over long distances, even in low visibility, so your team knows exactly where an intruder is and where they are heading.
Sensors mount on poles at or by the fence, or on building walls. Mesh several Q-TRACK LR units together and QORTEX hands each track from sensor to sensor across the whole perimeter.
- Real-time position, speed and direction of every person and vehicle
- 3D detection zones along fences, gates and approaches
- Works in total darkness, rain and glare
- Cues PTZ cameras to follow the target

Built for perimeters and open sites
Fence lines
Detect climbing, cutting and walking along the fence before anyone reaches the asset.
Gates and approaches
Know when a person or vehicle enters a restricted approach road or gate zone.
Yards and open areas
Track movement across storage yards, parking lots and laydown areas.
Building walls
Mount on walls to protect facades, loading docks and equipment pads.
Long-range tracking in a live deployment
Q-TRACK LR follows people and vehicles across a large outdoor site in real time. Every object keeps its ID as it moves, so operators can see the full path, not just a single alarm.
Detect. Track. Classify. Alert.
Q-TRACK LR captures the scene in 3D. QORTEX turns it into verified events.
- 1
Detect
Q-TRACK sensors capture millions of 3D points per second, day or night, in rain, glare or total darkness.
- 2
Track
QORTEX gives every object a persistent ID and follows its position, speed and direction across sensors.
- 3
Classify
People and vehicles are classified by 3D size and movement. Anything else is reported as an unclassified object.
- 4
Alert
Configurable 3D zones and rules send real-time alerts to your VMS, PSIM or control room, and cue PTZ cameras.
Alerts in the platforms you use
Quanergy works with 80+ technology partners. Q-TRACK alerts, tracks and maps flow into the video management and PSIM platforms your operators already use, and Q-TRACK can steer PTZ cameras to follow a target.

Q-TRACK LR: common questions
How far can Q-TRACK LR see?
Q-TRACK LR has a continuous tracking range of 140 m in diameter (70 m radius) at 10% object reflectivity and 3 m mounting height, covering about 15,000 m² per sensor.
Where is Q-TRACK LR mounted?
On poles at or by the fence, or on building walls. Several sensors can be meshed so tracks continue across the full perimeter.
What does Q-TRACK LR detect?
It detects and classifies people and vehicles, and reports anything else as an unclassified object with its size and position.
Does it work at night?
Yes. LiDAR provides its own illumination, so Q-TRACK LR works in total darkness and is not affected by glare. It is rated IP67.
How is it powered?
Over a single RJ-45 cable with 802.3at PoE+. Nominal power is 18 W.
