QORTEX perception software
QORTEX is the software behind Q-TRACK. It fuses every sensor into one live 3D view, then detects, tracks, classifies and alerts on people and vehicles in real time.
Specifications: Q-TRACK datasheet, QPN 96-00135 Rev H, and the QORTEX XProtect plug-in datasheet, 96-00141 Rev A.
Millions of 3D points in. Verified events out.
Q-TRACK sensors collect millions of 3D data points per second. QORTEX processes those streams in real time on your own servers.
It detects and classifies people and vehicles, gives each object a unique ID with a persistent track, and follows it continuously across the monitored area, from sensor to sensor.
Configurable 3D zones and rules decide what becomes an alarm. The result: operators see real intrusions, not nuisance alerts, and every event arrives with position, speed and direction.
Detect. Track. Classify. Alert.
Four steps, running continuously across every Q-TRACK sensor on your site.
- 1
Detect
Q-TRACK sensors capture millions of 3D points per second, day or night, in rain, glare or total darkness.
- 2
Track
QORTEX gives every object a persistent ID and follows its position, speed and direction across sensors.
- 3
Classify
People and vehicles are classified by 3D size and movement. Anything else is reported as an unclassified object.
- 4
Alert
Configurable 3D zones and rules send real-time alerts to your VMS, PSIM or control room, and cue PTZ cameras.
What QORTEX delivers
- Real-time detection, classification and tracking of people and vehicles
- Centimeter-level position, speed and direction for every object
- Multi-sensor fusion for continuous coverage across large or complex sites
- Configurable 3D detection zones and event rules
- Direct PTZ camera control via ONVIF and native Axis and Bosch APIs
- Real-time object data through the QORTEX API

Alerts and tracks inside the platforms you already run
QORTEX sends events, tracks and maps to VMS, PSIM and analytics platforms through its API and native plug-ins.

Every object, tracked and classified
QORTEX shows each tracked person and vehicle in a live 3D view, with its ID, class and path. The same data feeds your alarms, maps and analytics.

QORTEX: common questions
What is QORTEX?
QORTEX is Quanergy’s 3D LiDAR perception software. It processes data from Q-TRACK sensors to detect, track, classify and alert on people and vehicles in real time.
Where does QORTEX run?
On premises, on a local server, host computer or virtual machine running Windows, Ubuntu or Docker.
What data does QORTEX output?
An object list with 3D position, direction, speed and classification, in Protobuf, JSON, NDJSON or XML, through the QORTEX API.
Does QORTEX work with Milestone XProtect?
Yes. The QORTEX XProtect plug-in syncs sensors and zones, shows live tracks on XProtect maps and raises Zone Enter and Zone Exit alarms in the Smart Client.
Can QORTEX control PTZ cameras?
Yes. QORTEX controls PTZ cameras through ONVIF and native APIs for Axis and Bosch, so cameras follow tracked targets.
Does QORTEX use facial recognition?
No. QORTEX works on 3D shape and position only. Quanergy does not offer facial recognition.
